MiroScholarship started with a frustration. Our founder, Miro Adnan, was a student in Malaysia who had spent weeks searching for scholarship opportunities — only to find that most of the useful information was buried across dozens of university websites, scattered Facebook groups, and outdated blog posts. He applied for three scholarships that year. All three had already closed.
The problem wasn't a lack of funding. Billions of dollars in scholarship money goes unclaimed every year simply because students don't know it exists, don't know how to apply, or find out too late. That realisation became MiroScholarship — a single, well-organised platform where every listing includes the deadline, the eligibility requirements, and a direct link to the official application.
We launched in 2023 with a small collection of curated scholarships for Malaysian students. Within a year the platform grew to cover opportunities across more than 100 countries, expanded into career guidance, and built an active Telegram community where students support each other through the application process.
Today MiroScholarship is run by a small team of educators and writers based in Malaysia. We are not affiliated with any university or scholarship provider. Everything on this platform is free, independent, and written with one goal: to give every student a fair shot at the education they deserve.
The gap between a student's potential and their opportunities is almost always an information gap — not an intelligence gap, not a talent gap. An information gap. Our job is to close it: by making scholarship listings clear, career guidance honest, and educational resources free for anyone who needs them.
